The following databases were developed and are maintained by pharmacists and the administration staff at the Ottawa Valley Regional Drug Information Service and The Ottawa Hospital Drug Information Service:
DRUG INFORMATION DATABASE: This database contains the title, the first author, the citation and associated key words of approximately 50 pharmacy journals, medical journals and pharmacy-related newsletters since the early to mid 1990’s, depending on the publication. This database currently contains over 40,300 citations.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY DATABASE: This database contains availability information on recently marketed agents (i.e., medications, medical devices, test kits), as well as investigational and discontinued medications dating back to January 1990. This database is a complementary tool to our other drug information resources and is not intended to be comprehensive. Once pharmaceutical products are included in the current Compendium of Pharmaceutical and Specialties (CPS), they may be removed from the database. Each listing includes the generic name, trade name, manufacturer, date marketed or discontinued, availability (i.e., strength, dosage form, status) and a comments section.
These databases were last updated on June 23, 2010.
